Suspect nabbed in Kmart burglary

Philadelphia police on Nov. 2 arrested a man who allegedly burglarized a Frankford Kmart store last month.

Ronald Starling, 23, of the 6300 block of Magnolia St., allegedly broke into the Kmart at 900 Orthodox St. on Oct. 10.

At the time, police said an unknown man entered the store during normal business hours and hid. After closing time and after employees had left, he allegedly disabled an alarm and raided the place, stealing $10,000 worth of video game systems, laptop computers and TVs.

Police released surveillance video of the man that day and soon received a telephone tip identifying Starling as the man in the video.

On Nov. 2, police observed Starling allegedly operating a stolen vehicle on the 2400 block of Indiana Ave., stopped him and arrested him after a brief foot pursuit. He was charged with burglary and related crimes. ••
